Our Farm Republic (OFR) is a 5.6 hectare integrated farm owned by the family of Engineers Sofia and Jeb Santiago. It’s a great weekend getaway where one can bond with relatives, rekindle old ties and create a treasure trove of memories with friends and loved ones.
Currently chosen by the Department of Agriculture Region 1 as a show window of organic agriculture, one can get many insights on the system of natural farming when it comes to the production of rice (system of rice intensification), high value crops, native pigs, chickens, ducks, and even get valuable learnings on vermiculture and the breeding of butterflies.
About 2km from the town proper of Mangatarem, OFR is a 3-hour drive from Manila or approximately 4 hours by bus. It has a 3-storey bed & breakfast building that can accommodate 35 pax, a café that has a 70 pax capacity, serving sumptuous organic food at affordable prices, several cool nipa houses that are surrounded by a man-made pond teeming with fish and a butterfly garden where one can marvel at the magical process of metamorphosis.
